Sky to cut about 600 technical jobs

Sky is said to lower around 600 technical jobs because a consultation with 900 people begins.

Employees who work at the locations of Leed, Livingston and Osterley must be affected.

The jobs go as part of a restructuring of Sky technology team, which moves from the creation of new platforms such as Sky Glass and Sky Stream Television to work on existing services.

If the company is moved by product development, it is assumed that teams must be easier, more focused and more flexible.

Further technical functions are also carried out in the international operation of Sky.
