But heavy rain fell to the Korean capital, which meant that her opening game against Cristian was postponed in Great Britain with an approximate start time from 6 a.m.
Raducanu is on the hard side of the draw, and the US Open quarter finalist Barbora Krejcikova is waiting in the second round and IGA Swiatek in the same quarter.
The game was postponed for the day
The rain has not been after, and the tournament organizers have decided to pack for the day.
Raducanu will play Cristian tomorrow, not Great Britain earlier than 6 a.m.
The rain continues
The weather seemed to give in before the sky opened. We have another long delay without the start time being imminent. If the conditions are still so dark, we may be in danger today that no game will play today.
This estimated start time can be optimistic
There are more rain forecasts in Seoul, where it is currently local time at 7.40 p.m. Even if the match begins, they may not be switched on long.
The latest estimated start time
The current view is 11.45 a.m.
The Billie Jean King Cup from Raducanu from Raducanu
Sonia Twigg, sports reporter of our women’s sports, writes that Raducanu was right to prioritize her world rankings and go to Korea.
The Billie Jean King Cup and the Davis Cup are an important part of the tennis calendar and enable the rare opportunity to enjoy a team environment that differs from the individual nature of the professional tour.
For everyone who was the last Billie Jean King Cup final in Málaga, it was clear how much the players were in the atmosphere of the collective team.
But tennis is above all an individual sport. The players are classified and assessed according to their solo services.
Rain falls in Seoul
The few visible spectators have their umbrellas up and rain rises to the hard court.
No sign by Raduncau or Cristian
There is a lot to grind, but no player has appeared yet. Instead, the broadcast time is filled by US Open Highlights.
The countdown continues
To call the crowd sparse in Korea would be an understatement. Both players are greeted by a wall of gray seats unless the spectators appear sharply. Meadows didn’t.
Raducanu will get up shortly
Barbora Krejcikova won 6-1 and 6: 2 against Tatiana Prozorova at the Center Court.
In the absence of Raducanu
Katie Boulter will be the high-ranking member of the GB team at the Billie Jean King Cup.

However, Raducanu still has to prove to be able to consistently beat the elite player of the game if she wants to scale the heights of her 2021 US Open Triumph.
In Soul, Raducanu was able to play the former Wimbledon champion and the youngest US open quarterfinalist Barbora Krejcikova in the second round. Top -seeds and world No. 2 IGA Swiatek are also in their quarter of the draw.
Raducanus decision to play in Korea decided from the quarter -finals of Billie Jean King Cup for the Great Britain team against Japan.

A LTA spokesman told the BBC: “Of course we are disappointed. However, we believe that we have a great team and we look forward to participating in Shenzhen.”
The former trainer of Raducanu, Mark Petchey, defended this decision.
“It is very easy to get to the side that you want to represent your country,” said Petchy.
“To be fair for Emma when you look back on what she has achieved on the tone against France, she has proven that if she was against it, she can produce goods and B.

“I don’t think you can blame Emma for a schedule that makes no sense.”
