“I think that against Premier League opposition is playing more and more expectations in the game. Maybe the Chelsea fans don’t like me so much and when we play arsenal, the Arsenal fans may not like me so much.

“That makes me play better, that motivates me. There will be some known faces – all of these things that are put together brings something special.”

Kane scored 93 goals in all competitions for Bavaria in 101 games and said that he was surprised by his record since he moved to Germany.

“I don’t think I was expecting it. I’m always back to score goals, but I didn’t know how to do it.

“The style suits me well. I have a lot of confidence right now and I am physically and mentally strong.”

Kane rejected suggestions from Club Powerbroker Uli Hoeness that the six -time winners of the Champions League were outsiders in Europe this year.

“If you are in a club like Bayern Munich, it is expected to win the best competitions – and especially the Champions League.

“If we don’t win it, there will always be a little disappointment, so I would not say that we are outsiders.”
